I filed a VICP claim in March 2013, representing myself pro se because VICP claims are advertised to be non adversarial. That was not the case in my situation and it was strongly recommended to find a Vaccine attorney. The logic I used was the closest Vaccine Attorney to me. Hence, my attorney - client relationship with Lisa began. I was lucky to have found such a knowledgable and detail oriented Vaccine Attorney near me. Lisa and I were a team; Lisa made the team a "dream time.” She is very knowledgeable about the workings of the Vaccine Court. Lisa cares about her clients by the manner she listens intently, even during the times that I was in so much pain, on various medications, tired, sleep deprived, Lisa paid close attention to what I was trying to say about my condition, doctor appointments, medications and dosages, my limited abilities and my loss of being able to care for my own activities of daily living. Lisa was on her "A" game; she predicted what information other than medical records the DOJ would request and we were very much prepared to provide the evidence the DOJ requested. While I did not receive my total lost earnings, retirement, and other items, which I do blame on myself because I am in chronic pain and I just wanted the whole process to be over as quickly as possible. Lisa explained the pros and cons of my decision to end this process as quickly as possible, but dealing with chronic pain, anything that takes over my life in addition to the chronic pain, such as SSA Dib application and reconsideration after the denial, Lisa was there. She treated me like family. Lisa cares about her clients and aims for the best outcomes for her clients. I recommend Lisa in a heartbeat for Vaccine Injury cases.
